Determining an Appropriate Amount of Toilet Paper for Short Term Rentals

Whether you’re a short term rental owner or a guest, it’s important to know how many rolls of toilet paper to leave in the rental for guests’ comfort. To help you make sure all of your guests enjoy a comfortable stay, here’s a guide to understanding how much toilet paper should be left for short term rentals.

For short term rentals, it’s best to provide one roll of toilet paper per person for every 3 nights of their stay. This ensures that your guests will have plenty of toilet paper for their time in the rental. A great rule of thumb is to leave two rolls per bathroom, plus one extra roll.

It’s important to make sure your rental has enough toilet paper so that guests won’t run out during their stay. You should ensure that the rolls are full—this means each roll should have at least 200 sheets. You’ll want to check the rolls periodically to make sure they haven’t run out too quickly.

While you’ll want to provide enough toilet paper to meet the needs of your guests, it’s not wise to overstock the rental with toilet paper. This could lead to the rolls going stale and becoming useless. Plus, it might create a feeling of clutter for your visitors.

You can always purchase additional rolls if your guests need more toilet paper. But as a rule, one roll of toilet paper per person per 3 nights should be plenty.
